Mission Impossible is one of the most acclaimed movies of Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures too. And with the next two installments, Mission Impossible 7 and 8 incoming, the beloved fans of spy drama are not able to keep their feet on the ground. They want to know all the updates from the upcoming MI sequels. What new will Tom Cruise bring in the next installments? Who will feature? What will happen? And lots more. Let us check that out.
Yes, you read it right. The filming work for the next two installments of Mission Impossible will take place back-to-back. The direction of the movies will take place under Christopher McQuarrie, who also directed the previous two MI movies. Though Cruise is also set to recur in his acclaimed sci-fi, Edge of Tomorrow, he will first finish up his in-house spy thriller, then will go for the Edge of Tomorrow sequel. Also, the pre-production work for the seventh and eighth run has already begun. McQuarrie recently shared the first sketches of the next runs on Instagram.

Mission Impossible is literally impossible without the heart of the franchise, Tom Cruise. He is set to return to work continually for the next two movies. Moreover, Rebecca Ferguson, from Mission Impossible 6 will also return, for at least the seventh installment. Adding to the cast, Hayley Atwell, known for the MCU’s Peggy Carter, has joined the franchise as the female lead for both of the movies.

Meanwhile, the regular cast members, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Jeremy Renner will also surely return for another two missions. However, their confirmation of being on-board has not been made official yet. And, rumors even swirled lately that Henry Cavill and Alec Baldwin will also return somehow, despite dying in Mission: Impossible Fallout. Moreover, after surviving the last movie, it is possible that recurring villain Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) may return as a villain against our spy, Ethan Hunt.
