Earlier this month, the first picture of Captain Marvel released and went viral like a storm. Also, it will likely to tease fans as to what might happen in Avengers 4.
Witnessing the success of Wonder Woman, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, Captain Marvel which will be the first female Marvel superhero film can bet on the box office.
A few days back, Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige talked about Captain Marvel, “She is more powerful than any character we’ve introduced thus far. So that alone tells you that there’s a reason Nick hit that button at the end of the Infinity War when he realized that they were up against something far bigger than they had ever been up against before. And having her on your side is hopefully going to change the balance of power in a way that they desperately need.”
Captain Marvel, set in the 1990s is an upcoming American superhero film which is based on the Marvel Comics character Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. It tells how she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes at the time when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.
Brie Larson as Carol Danvers while speaking to Entertainment Weekly said, “You have this Kree part of her that’s unemotional, that is an amazing fighter and competitive.” She added, “Then there’s this human part of her that is flawed but is also the thing that she ends up leading by. It’s the thing that gets her in trouble, but it’s also the thing that makes her great.”
The film is directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film stars Academy Award winner Brie Larson in the role of Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Kenneth Mitchell, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Stay tuned for more Captain Marvel Trailer Updates. The film will hit theatres on March 8, 2019.
