The Marvel Cinematic Universe star Thor (aka Chris Hemsworth) is all set to make his Netflix debut with an action thriller film “Dhaka.” The Netflix original film is produced by “Avengers: Infinity War” directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo.
The film will be directed by the debutant director Sam Hargrave and is written by Joe Russo. Hargrave has previously worked in several Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Hargrave started his career as Chris Evans’ stunt double in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and was the second unit director on Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
The main plot of the film will revolve around Hemsworth’s character who is “Physically brave but an emotional coward.” In this action-packed thriller, Hemsworth will be rescuing a kidnapped Indian boy held in Dhaka (Bangladesh). Russo brothers also said, “It’s a complex movie with a lot of political texture in it.” The film will be produced under the banner of Russo brothers’ new studio, AGBO.
According to Deadline, the film is scheduled to be mainly shot in India and Thailand. Hemsworth will be next seen in Drew Goddard’s Bad Times at the El Royale which will release on October 12. Right now he is shooting for “Men in Black” spin-off and the untitled Avengers movie scheduled for May 2019. The Russo brothers have several projects in pipeline post-Avengers 4 under their banner AGBO.
