The 1000 Lb Best Friends celeb met Dr. Connie for a therapy session.
Cross, having difficulty opening up, finally touched the dirt that she carries from the past. With her food addiction comes her back story. Vanessa shared that she has been a “sex-worker” in a hustled culture. She mentioned it was something that she had to do emotionally and mentally. And she did it just to provide her kids and herself with some daily bread.
Well, it’s been eight years since Vanessa had been a sex worker. Still, the celeb gets nightmares from her past. She claimed that she would not have sold her body for anything. However, it was a matter of time. It was either go hungry, without clothing, diapers, or rent. Vanessa is now thankful for her circumstances. However, the pain has never really left her.

This is not the first time Cross has opened up about her past. The 1000 Lb Best Friends celeb previously shared how she and her sister used to sleep in a car. And the siblings solely lived on breadcrumbs. Meanwhile, it is the first time Cross lets the viewers dive deep into her private life. She didn’t even tell her best friend, Meghan.
Opening up a little more, Cross revealed her nickname used to be “Sunshine.” Vanessa explains, “Men said that I brought a ray of sunshine with what I did.” She continued that sunshine didn’t give a crap about anything. Vanessa added, “She’d rob you blind, screw your man, do whatever..” And she loved her. Vanessa loved being sunshine because she would do things and go to work. She said, “I would bring that b*tch out.”
