1000 Lb Sisters: Michael Reveals His Living Conditions After The Court Proceedings
Amy’s ex-husband has asked for full custody of his kids. Hence, the court urged him to explain his living condition after the divorce. Michael opened up in the court during the proceeding and said that he is living with his mother, sister, and brother. The 1000 Lb Sisters star admitted that he does not have a separate room and is sleeping on the couch. Halterman also mentioned that while he sleeps on the couch, his kids, Glenn and Gage, sleep with his mother in her room when they are here.
Hence, Amy is concerned that it would be difficult and stressful for his mother to handle their kids and the other house members. However, the court claimed that a few additional days would make no difference if the situation is dealt with on the weekends. Michael thought having the kids’ full custody only to their mother and not to him was unfair. But Amy is unsure about it as she complained at the court about Halterman being violent towards kids. She claimed he yanked their arms too hard.
Meanwhile, Michael would cover his actions by saying he is disciplining them, which equals toxic parenting. According to earlier reports, he didn’t want their kids to be a part of 1000 Lb Sisters Season 5. But Amy had no problem with them being part of the show. Therefore, this was another reason behind the conflict between the two. Michael also used to feel jealous that his wife was only spending time with their kids and not with him.

The 1000 Lb Sisters star Amy dropped the domestic violence charges against her husband in the court hearings. TLC producers wanted to include the court drama in the second part of Season Four. Hence, they stood outside the court with cameras ready to capture Amy and Michael walking out. The former looked frustrated and irritated, while the latter managed to escape the cameras. Halterman was flailing her arms at the cameras while smoking. As per court orders, the couple is not allowed to talk to each other, they can only communicate via text.
The court ordered that Michael could only enter their marital home with Amy having a third-party supervisor.
