Whitney Purvis was a part of the reality show 16 And Pregnant. At the time, she was a mere teen pregnant with her first child. The show documented the lives of pregnant teen moms, and Whitney was also a part of it. She soon delivered her first child, Weston Jr., via section in April 2009. MTV fans saw the drama around Western’s birth and how, in an unexpected moment, he was born on Whitney’s prom night.
It was indeed a memorable experience, and she remembers it as one of her fondest memories. It was not an easy journey as her son came sooner than expected. However, Purvis was adamant that she was gonna have a healthy baby. After hours of labor pain and contractions, her son finally came into the world. He wasn’t getting enough oxygen, so they had to conduct an immediate C-section, but the baby was perfect. Unfortunately, Weston, who was just 16 years old, passed away.

It is never easy for a mother to go through a grief period that comes with the passing of a child. Purvis wrote that she loves her son a lot and she misses him. She further added that her son was a piece of her heart, and she was very proud of the young man he was becoming.
She has no idea how she will go on without him. Whitney further added that her son must rest in peace, and he left the world too soon. As of now, we don’t know the reason for his death.

It is definitely not easy for Whitney and her family members as they are dealing with Weston’s tragic passing. Remembering his birth story, Purvis revealed that she spent the entire night in the hospital. The medical staff gave her Pitocin to induce labor. The contractions were the worst pain she had ever experienced, and they got worse as time went by. After a point, her baby wasn’t getting enough oxygen, so they had to have an immediate C-section.
She doesn’t remember much after that, but when they showed her the baby, he was perfect. Whitney’s mom was also pregnant at the same time as her, and it was an interesting experience. Purvis was in a lot of pain after C-section and moved in with her grandmother for the aftercare. She was really young, and the diva accepted that it was more than what she could handle at her age.
On June 2, 2025, Parvez confirmed that her son, unfortunately, passed away at the age of 16. Sharing a public post, the diva wrote that this is heartbreaking news, but her son has passed away. She also shared a series of photos on Facebook and added that he was only 16 years old, and life was very unfair and cruel to him. She can’t understand how her baby is gone, and now she is only left with his memories.
Purvis can’t understand how to go on in life after losing her child. She is in disbelief that something like this is happening to her. It’s like a nightmare coming true.
