Jonah had had a terrible incident with a drug in the past. 7 Little Johnstons fans know that the star had called his parents back in 2021 when the incident happened. He thought someone might have “slipped something in his drink” as he felt weird. It turned out that Delta 8, a synthetic variant of cannabis.
The star revealed he thought it was a “legal drug.” Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. But Jonah is clean now. Talking about his drug incident, Amber said in an interview that it “was a one-time thing.” She also mentioned that Jonah had “had severe anxiety then.” But all of this is in the past, and Trent and Amber have denied Jonah’s “substance abuse” rumors.
Jonah had also talked about the incident. He feels it was a “dangerous” experience. The star also mentioned that he would be staying away from drugs now. While his Delta 8 days are long gone, Jonah still needs her with his mental health. Initially, he decided to move back home with his parents temporarily. The 7 Little Johnstons star moved out after a few years and worked as a sales representative. Now, he has a new hobby and is fully invested in it.
Jonah discussed his new hobby-cum-passion with his sisters at lunch. He loves BBQing meat and revealed that he and his friend Brian practice this skill a lot. Jonah also talked about how “smoking meat” brought him “great joy.” It also helped his mental health and brought his family joy in terms of amazing food.
