90 Day Fiance stars Akinyi and Benjamin Taylor got real about their fertility journey and hope to expand their family. The two welcomed their first child together in February of this year. They announced the pregnancy last September so fans could bless their unborn baby. They couldn’t be happier than having a daughter.

After she miraculously came into their lives, Benjamin and Akinyi named their baby girl, Rue. The pair tied the knot in 2021 in America. They have always been known for their strong relationship and amazing compatibility. Since they settled down after marriage, they could no longer wait to become parents. Their dream was ultimately blocked by infertility, but they trusted their Gods.

Akinyi Obala has no other option other than getting admitted to the hospital after giving birth to Rue. While there is joy in the moment, the road to recovery took a toll on the new mom. She has to get herself tested for a breast biopsy. The TLC star recently revealed on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with mastitis. 

Mastitis is an infection of the breast that causes a lot of pain. It commonly occurs in breastfeeding mothers. Akinyi posted a picture of Benjamin holding their little angel as he sat beside her hospital bed, as it was full of bloody clothes. Later, she gave another update, telling fans that she couldn’t feed her daughter her milk because it had blood in it. Fans called it a heartbreaking scene, but she didn’t share any further updates.

Benjamin Taylor and Akinyi Obala appeared as a couple in Before The 90 Days Season 3 in 2019. Hence, they got the chance to document their pregnancy journey for Season 6 of 90 Day Diaries. Throughout the years, the Kenyan native has heard people bashing her for not being able to conceive a baby.

In an emotional YouTube video posted last June, Akinyi addressed the negative comments against her and Benjamin. She explained that they had taken every test and visited every possible doctor. Now, viewers can catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their arduous journey from their house. On April 28, the duo revealed that after shifting their lives to a big house, they found out Akiyi was expecting.

Akinyi admitted there had been “tears and crying” before the good news. The delay in pregnancy since their wedding has gripped them so severely that they have lost hope. Luckily, they came across a social media post about a decongestant, claiming it would help anyone dealing with fertility problems.

A week later, the decongestant method worked for Benjamin and Akinyi. Then, they recorded their discussion, saying they had no idea about the baby’s gender. Akinyi’s push gift would be a car, which costs $46,500.
