On September 21, Corey Rathgeber went on to Instagram to share all the details of their marriage with the fans. Corey informed that the two got married on paper. There was no pop show. Instead, It was a simple secretive marriage.
Corey also shared pictures from the day. To the fans’ curiosity, he informed that the two officially got married on June 11, 2019, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Although, at that time, the two forgot a significant part of the marriage. It was to have two witnesses.
It would be interesting for the fans to know that the two literally walked around on the roads to find two witnesses for their marriage. Thankfully, they found a couple and gave them $20 for becoming witnesses to their marriage. Just a few signatures, and the two became soulmates.
Corey acknowledged the day, saying “It was a very special and surreal moment shared only with the one I love! I am happy and so grateful. I will never forget that wonderful and crazy experience.”

Furthermore, in the aftermath of the quick decision, she said, “And after Corey and I got married, I got all these mixed emotions. Like, what did I do? Like, did I think this through? And I just got really emotional and started crying. I didn’t want Corey to feel about it, but I couldn’t stop myself. I cry.”
Corey Clarifies Why Did They Keep The Marriage a Secret
Corey has clarified to why the duo kept their marriage a secret. He informs the viewers that Evelin was not ready to disclose about the wedding to her FAMILY or anyone else. Therefore, Corey understood the sentiments of Evelin and wanted the girl to be mentally prepared before opening about the truth.
In addition, the two had disclosed about the event to few cast members, but certainly, some did not wish good for the two and had a big mouth. They had no intentions to hide it from the show makers. The production was not informed because Corey and Evelin had already finished filming their first season. And they had no plans to get into another season of the show. Therefore, the couple was not obligated to inform the show makers.
