TLC brings one-of-a-kind romance stories. The network’s audience often experiences spine-chilling tales from the cast members. Likewise, the May 9th episode featured Patrick and Thais. And the latest chapter of 90 Day Fiance Season 9 brings out Mendes’s career that once derailed. The ex-lifter opened up about how his career ended when he took two illegal substances. Moreover, the incident made him lose his first wife and the opportunity to go to Olympics as well.
Patrick was a dedicated lifter from a very young age and worked hard since nine-years-old. He was stronger than everyone else and finally competed at the Pan Am Games and World Championships. However, in 2012, the USADA caught him using an illegal substance, a growth hormone, “HGH.” Hence, the sports academy banned him for two years, and he couldn’t compete. Sadly, in 2015, he committed a second offense by testing positive for a steroid, 4Chlorodehydromethyl testosterone.
And now, that ban will be lifted by the end of July 2023. Meanwhile, he seems to learn a lot from his mistakes. And at present, he’s a successful security consultant. Although he’s happy and content, he lives with the consequences of his actions until now. His offense took everything away from him, including his wife. But the TLC audience will now see the romance between Thais and Mendes.
90 Day Fiance: RED FLAGS Spotted In Patrick And Thais’ Relationship
The 90 Day Fiance’s new couple, Thais and Mendes, seem to be in a loving relationship. They met randomly through a dating site. And Mendes is head over heels for his lady love. However, like any other couple, the two aren’t perfect. Turns out that Thais and Mendes’s brother John don’t jell along. But as Thais don’t completely understand English, she’s having trouble managing Patrick’s brother.
Hence, she wants the star to be not around John so that they can have some peace time. It is somewhat understandable, but Thais have taken things too far. Unreasonably, Patrick keeps reporting his whereabouts to his girlfriend. She even has access to his GPS. Apart from that, Thais know the schedule when Mendes sleeps and when he goes to a party with his “bros.” Another red flag in their relationship is Thais don’t want Patrick to be around women.
Therefore, instead of arguing, Mendes has accepted it and now doesn’t train women required in home security services. Well, the celeb says things will calm down once his lady arrives in the US.
