90 Day Fiance: Forrest & Sheena’s Background

Season 8 of Before the 90 Days introduces fans to a new couple in town, not literally, as they both live in different countries. Forrest and Sheena have been a couple for the past seven years. Forrest lives in Oregon, while Sheena resides in the Philippines. The pair got closer by talking online, which meant that they had to rely heavily on technology to feel closer together. With the first episode, the network has promised that fans will be able to see not just the good side, but the problems that they face as well.

According to the show’s logline, Forrest and Sheena are both virgins and will finally meet in person this season. However, Forrest’s parents have plans of their own. They plan to join Forrest’s trip to the Philippines. The parents would like to investigate what they see as red flags about Sheena and her family. Their storyline is part of a bigger cast featuring other couples who are also trying to find love outside their country. The other couples include Jovon and Annalyn, Aviva and Stig in Belize, Laura and Birkan, Emma and Ziad, Rick and Trisha, and Lisa and Daniel.

90 Day Fiance: Forrest Explains Why Sheena’s 24/7 Camera Access Reassures Him

In the first episode, we see Forrest, who reveals that he changed his house into a “smart home.” This meant it had sensors, smart bulbs, and cameras that Sheena can check at any moment. Forrest said it actually gives him peace of mind. Sheena watches him cook from multiple angles and gives him instructions about his breakfast.

Forrest cooks his eggs and even holds them up to a camera, so she can see what he cooked from 7,000 miles away. He acknowledges that this level of access might make other people uncomfortable. But he personally feels it helps him feel cared for when they can’t be together. He also asks, “What if I fall over and nobody can see or I can’t get to anybody?”

For him, Sheena’s constant presence acts as a safety net, even from across the world. While Forrest sees the cameras as comforting, his parents might not feel the same way as their son. As mentioned previously, they planned to go with Forrest to the Philippines so that they could talk to Sheena. For the latest 90 Day Fiance tea, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
