However, the couple gets into an argument when she makes a miscalculation, costing the cafe some money.

Sumit’s father is helping Jenny at the counter when he notices Jenny gave away all the change he gave her. When sks if that happened, she says yes. Turns out, she cannot grasp the idea of change. She cannot do basic math. Sumit is clearly unhappy about how Jenny does not know how to count change and give back the correct amount to customers.

Sumit says in a confessional that it is common knowledge how giving back changes work. If a customer pays 100 for an order of 60, 40 is the change. Jenny calls this “Indian money,” saying she cannot understand it. Fans seem to be irritated by this, as the concept of change is not an Indian thing; it is universal. They note that Jenny seems so oblivious to things like that and blames her ignorance on culture.
