The newest episode of TLC’s popular show features Sumit talking about the tragic death of one of his family members. He talked about how his mother, Sadhna Singh, is traumatized because of the loss. Years ago, she lost her daughter at eight-month-old due to jaundice. Sumit’s sister was one-and-a-half-year younger than him. The sad death was pretty dramatic for Sadhna, due to which other family members started to be very careful around her and lying to make her feel better.
Sumit continued to reveal that his mom really liked his ex-wife, who he was forcefully married to. Sadhna became very close to her as the woman started to fill the space of a daughter in her life. Singh’s mother liked to spend time with her daughter-in-law, who also helped her out in handling the house. Hence, when Sumit decided to divorce her, Sadhna was left heartbroken. Since her son divorced his wife, she lost a daughter-figure from her life.
As a result, even today, Sadhna blames Sumit for making her lose the only daughter that was left in her life. On top of that, since Jenny was the reason Sumit got divorced, his mom hates the American 90 Day Fiance star. Hence, neither Sadhna nor Sumit’s father is in favor of him marrying Jenny.

Even though the way they met was a little creepy, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh ended up becoming soulmates as they continued to see each other for years. As of today, the pair has been together for nearly a decade. Slatten has made several sacrifices for her Indian boyfriend, including abandoning her life in the US. However, despite that, Sumit still couldn’t convince his parents to let him marry the 90 Day Fiance co-star.
