90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Star Sumit’s Parents Talk About Societal Boycott Due To Jenny

90 Day Fiance

It’s been forever since 90 Day Fiance fame Sumit catfished Jenny with a fake name Michael. Even though they started on the wrong foot, he eventually came clean when he fell in love with her. However, their love story hasn’t been a cakewalk. Because Sumit’s parents strongly disapprove of their union. According to them, they will face innumerable hardships if Jenny and Sumit get married.

There was a time when Sumit’s mother Sahna and Jenny became best friends. It was when she arrived in India as a friend instead of his girlfriend. Even though she overstayed her welcome, there were no hard feelings until Sahna and Anil found out that Sumit and Jenny were romantically involved.

Fast forward to recent times, Sahna told her son that she would commit suicide if he got married to Jenny. Before all this, Sumit’s caved into his parents’ demands and got into an arranged marriage with the girl they chose for him. However, that ended in an explosive divorce for which Sumit’s father Anil paid for. In a recent preview clip, Sumit’s parents opened up about the hardships they will face if Jenny and their son got married. Let’s take a detailed look at this.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Star Sumit Demands Jenny Should Come To Family Functions

In a recent preview clip for the upcoming episode, we could see Sumit visiting a Sikh gurdwara for what looked like a baby shower for his sister-in-law. It was all going well till he brought Jenny up. He demanded that now that the couple is engaged, Jenny has the right to attend their family functions as well.

But his parents made it clear that they are not ready to accept her. Moreover, they were concerned that if they approved of Sumit and Jenny’s relationship, society would cut them off. In fact, no one would send them a helping hand during times of need.

According to Screenrant, Sumit’s brother and sister-in-law didn’t have any objection to Jenny attending these events as Sumit’s friend. But anything beyond that wasn’t something they were comfortable with either. The conversation ended with Sumit’s mom in tears over societal pressure. But if we take a look at what might happen in the future, there might be some wiggle room left. Sahna is soon going to be Jenny’s roommate to see whether she is worthy of becoming her son’s wife.

His parents did approve of Jenny and Sumit‘s relationship once. But the condition was for Jenny to take Sumit to America. Due to money issues, that wasn’t possible. What do you think is going to happen after Sahna and Jenny stay together? Will it help their situation or intensely backfire? What do you feel about Sumit’s parents caving into societal pressure?
