The Duke is doing a great job filling in for King Charles III. Royal insiders are lauding Prince Edward’s “inner steel” and commitment to his royal duties. Last year, he buried himself in 297 royal engagements, just behind Charles and Princess Anne. His workload is only going to amplify with more royals dealing with health and family issues. Furthermore, Prince Edward has been a full-time working royal since 2002.

Now, he’s the senior most working male royal after King Charles III and Prince William. Since cancer struck the King, he’s been on pause from work and rescheduling his upcoming ventures. As for William, he’s taking a month off from the royal realm to look after Kate, who’s also getting treated for cancer. By the way, Prince Edward stands 14th in line to the throne. He’s a Cambridge grad with a brief stint in the Royal Marines.
