Alaskan Bush People: Bear Brown Explains The Real Status Of The Show

Alaskan Bush People fans have bugged Bear to tell them about the show’s future. After a while, Bear took things in his own hand and decided to clarify with the information he had. A few weeks ago, Bear shared through his social media account that he hadn’t spoken to anyone from Discovery for nearly a year. He ultimately decided to reach out to someone in Discovery for answers. Bear connected with a representative who manages multiple Discovery projects and asked for an update.

According to Bear, the representative checked with higher-ups and confirmed that the show had not been canceled. Instead, the series remains on hiatus due to major behind-the-scenes changes following the Warner Bros.–Discovery merger. He also said that more restructuring would go on later. Surprisingly, Bear revealed that Discovery had shown interest in what he was doing on a personal level. He claimed that they discussed the possibility of giving him his own spinoff as well.

Alaskan Bush People: Bear’s “I Was Wrong” Video Sparks Strong Fan Reactions

The topic became trending again after Bear posted a new video admitting he was wrong about the show’s status on Netflix. Earlier, he claimed that Netflix’s connection to Discovery meant the show might return with new seasons. In his explanation, Bear admitted that he had misunderstood the situation. Only some Discovery titles were rotating off Netflix, while Alaskan Bush People is actually staying on the platform. He emphasized that Netflix would add more previously aired seasons, not new ones.

Fans couldn’t help but react to this absurd situation. Some found humor in all of this and took to the comments section. They said jokingly, “New show on Netflix… Brown brothers travel the US ignoring their kids.” Others encouraged the Brown family to make their own show. They suggested that they should launch a YouTube series so they could “cut out the middleman.”

Meanwhile, some fans were disappointed since they believed the show might be back. One fan commented about rewatching the available seasons because they “miss the Brown family so dang much.” International viewers also revealed that Netflix Australia had removed the early seasons and jumped straight to seasons 12, 13, and 14. A few comments even made fun of Bear and how quickly he jumped in to say there will be more seasons. For the latest Alaskan Bush People tea, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
