The Slaton Sisters had a strong bond in the past. Fans saw how the sisters constantly supported each other. However, cracks started to appear in their sisterhood since the last season. It started when Amy left Tammy during the latter’s skin removal surgery. Amy’s reason did not seem reasonable to Tammy. In the new season of 1000 Lb Sisters, things appear to be more tense. The sisters are constantly mocking each other or bickering. Even their family is worried they might never reconcile.

Things took a darker turn when Amy didn’t pick Tammy as her maid of honor. More tensions arose as the sisters cussed at each other in the group chat. In the latest episode, Amy and Tammy argue over canceled plans. The 1000 Lb Sisters stars bicker when Amy shares she is anxious about going to the animal shelter. Amy is experiencing PTSD from the camel bite in 2024. When Tammy hears about the canceled plans, she loses her temper. Among other things, she says, calling Amy a “d@#dbeat mom” crosses the line.

The comment is mean, for sure. But considering Amy was not the best mother in the past, and also had substance abuse issues, the comment is below the belt. Amy feels ashamed of her role as a mother and has tried to make up for it since. However, Tammy plays it nasty by calling her that, knowing full well how hurt Amy would be.

The comment is so bad that even Chris and Misty talk about it. While in the car, Misty states that Tammy went too far with the comment. Chris also agrees to it. In the confessional, Misty states, “You can say what you want about Amy, but she does her best with the boys.” Later, Amy breaks down while talking about it. She explains that she knows she wasn’t the best mom to her kids, but she is trying to change that.

Amy doesn’t hold back about Tammy. She mocks Tammy for using skin removal as an excuse for being mean. However, Amy notes that Tammy has always been a “nasty a$$^&le”.
