She has seen her parents struggle with her Tourette’s. However, she does not want to have an uncomfortable discussion with them. She admits that she is aware of why her fiance wants them to set boundaries, but she is unable to do it.

He aspires to switch careers as a real estate agent. This new career can be challenging to maintain proper healthcare benefits. This information seems troublesome for Baylen’s parents.

In the clip, Allen is agitated by the news and says this isn’t the best idea he has heard in the last 5 years. He says it is a hard no for him. However, Julie is not as harsh when she mentions that the career change is a gamble. But since Baylen supports Colin’s career change, they have to be supportive too.

Julie also states what’s on her mind in a confessional. She says that as Baylen’s parents, they are constantly walking the line between being supportive and firm but not overstepping their boundaries. The mom of six says that it’s irresponsible not to have a backup plan while contemplating a career change. Things can happen that no one plans for, and having some kind of alternative is always better than having none at all.
