Here is everything to know-

Black Mirror Season 6 Might Happen Eventually!

As of now, Black Mirror Season 6 isn’t renewed. Nor has Netflix or the creators given any updates on when the show would come back. One of the biggest reasons for putting the show on hold and the given circumstances. The world right now is already experiencing a lot, and watching something so dark might not do good to anything. So, it might be sometime before viewers get to see more episodes of the haunting anthology series.

With that said, there is still some hope that Black Mirror Season 6 would happen eventually. In an interview with Radio Times, the creator of the series Charlie Brooker says that he is open to the idea of bringing more of the series sometime but not anytime soon.

In the interview, he says that he is busy doing things. He does not know what he can say about what he is doing or not doing. Brooker added that at the moment, he does not have the will to tell stories where societies are falling apart. So, he isn’t working on any of that stories. He would like to revisit his comic skill set to he is making and writing scripts that could make him laugh.

The Ownership Rights Might Cause Some Issues

Since 2014, Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones (The co-showrunner of Black Mirror) have been the head of the production company House of Tomorrow. That was the division of the even larger company Endemol Shine. However, in January 2020, Charlie and Annabel have walked out of House of Tomorrow in order to pursue an overall deal of their own with Netflix.

However, one major that happened in this whole thing was, Endemol Shine, is still the owner of all the rights of Black Mirror. Back in the summer of 2020, Endemol Shine took over Banijay Group. The executive of Banijay- Cathy Payne, says that they are open to the idea of continuing their partnership with Netflix for more seasons of Black Mirror.

The problem with this whole arrangement is that Brooker and Jones do not have direct control over the property. So, in order to bring more episodes of the series, Netflix will also have to work out a new deal with Broke and Bones company then make another deal with Banijay that might not be cheap. So, some sources suggest that Netflix might give up on the show all at once.

While it does not looks like the creators are bringing more episodes of Black Mirror Season 6 anytime soon, but we can still have some hope. The possibility is really high, with everyone interested in more episodes of the series. We will keep you updated with all the news about the show as soon as it surfaces. So, you stay tuned.
