Chrisley Knows Best: Chase Chrisley’s Road To Sobriety

This isn’t the first time Chase has addressed issues with addiction. Back in September, in the season finale of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, fans saw Chase’s struggles. In the episode, Chase revealed that he had checked into rehab and tried to take accountability for his actions. At the time, the family was already under pressure, with Todd and Julie serving prison sentences and the Chrisleys struggling to stay together.

Chase later explained that he didn’t want his substance issues to be his complete story. But he acknowledged it was an important chapter that he had to face. His father, Todd, offered him guidance during that period. He reminded Chase that addiction did not have to define his future. After completing his treatment, Chase made it clear that he plans to stay sober and leave alcohol behind for good. He admitted that alcohol only intensified both his highs and his lows.

Chrisley Knows Best: Chase Chrisley Says He Thought He Was Going To Die

On December 30, Savannah Chrisley sat down with her brother, Chase, on her podcast, Unlocked. Chase revealed just how severe his addiction became during the filming of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. According to Chase, it was his lowest point in life. He admitted that although fans saw him looking not so well, the reality was much worse than it appeared on camera. Chase confessed that he was not sober and was using substances that pushed his health and mental state to dangerous extremes.

The reality TV star said he truly felt that he was going to die during that time. It felt like it was a dark and scary period for him. He also addressed the health issues shown on the show, such as his stomach pain. Chase said that those issues were real and probably worsened by substance abuse. Chase admitted that even though he wasn’t into alcohol, once he started drinking, he could not stop.

He explained that alcohol brought out two sides of him, one carefree and one destructive. Chase also acknowledged how selfish he had become, noting that therapy helped him see he was harming the people around him. Now, Chase feels he is in a better place and is happy that he learned these lessons in his 20s. For the latest Chrisley Knows Best tea, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
