On June 28, Savannah Chrisley announced that her father was using his downtime while serving a prison sentence to write a book on his marriage to Julie. She claimed that the book revealed a new aspect of her parents and was “raw,” “emotional,” and “honest.”
According to Savannah, the book will tell how Todd and Julie met in the mid-1990s when Todd finalized his divorce from his first wife, Teresa Terry. Julie became pregnant with Chase, their first child, while the business tycoon was still married. Todd asked her to marry him twice, but she repeatedly turned him down. She told him, “I am not marrying you. This is my baby. I’m gonna raise my baby”. Todd persisted and eventually convinced Julie to marry him. Ultimately they tied the knot on May 25, 1996, when she was nine months pregnant. After revealing the hints from Todd’s book, Savannah expressed her immense sadness in her parent’s sentences and stated how things have changed after 27 years.
Lindsey Chrisley also disclosed her father’s current status in Prison. She stated that Todd is in “such a better place” and “making the most of” his sentences. The Chrisley Knows Best patriarch is running a busy schedule, including cleaning and cooking, alongside writing his book. His eldest daughter also stated that he had made “great friends” with other inmates and was happy with how her dad was coping with the situation.
