The actor acknowledged that these shifts in tone are natural for a show of its caliber. However, he totally understands why some viewers may disengage during certain periods. Additionally, let us tell you that Coronation Street completed 60 years on air. Hence, Bill also emphasised that soap’s longevity is attributed to its ability to adapt and reflect contemporary times.

The soap star stated, “It has to be an organic process.” He compared the show’s evolution to a living organism, suggesting that remaining constant would have led to its extinction like dinosaurs. Bill highlighted the importance of appealing to a diverse audience, including the elderly, middle-aged, and younger viewers.
