Coronation Street character Peter Barlow is going through a rough time as he feels guilty about killing serial killer Stephen Reid. In the latest episode, Peter’s inner emotions lead to fights with family and friends. As things fall apart in Peter’s life, the only thing that could save him is love. Peter ends up breaking, but Carla helps him and advises a much easier way to get out of this. Still, Peter considers the hard way to get better. Is this the beginning of the end for Peter on Coronation Street, or will the show take an unexpected turn?
Coronation Street: Will Peter And Carla Get Through This Tough Time Together?
Peter Barlow has been struggling since he murdered serial killer Stephen Reid in Coronation Street. In the recent scenes, he finally opened up about how awful things had gotten for him. Peter was spotted lashing at wife, Carla, and 15-year-old neighbour Dylan Wilson, in the November 24, 2023, episode. He completely embarrassed Carla by confronting her in front of Izzy and Sarah about paying Sean Tully and Beth Tinker to return to work. Peter was angry at being kept in the dark, but when Carla said she didn’t want to bother him with her troubles, Peter replied that she didn’t care.
Additionally, when son Simon informed Peter that Dylan and Mason had stolen a carton of vapes. After Max Turner told Peter that Dylan was selling vapes, Peter confronted him and smashed the front door when Luca insulted him for killing Stephen. Dylan argued his innocence, and Sean demanded Peter go. Later, Sean visited Peter and threatened to call the police. Carla was appalled and asked Sean to keep the cops out when she came. Sean agreed, but Coronation Street star Peter was furious and wanted an explanation from Peter.
Soon, Carla softened as Peter broke down and repented for killing a guy. He told Carla that he needed a drink but knew that picking up a bottle would kill him, and he couldn’t let her or Simon suffer. Carla advised Peter to seek professional help, but he didn’t think it would make things any better. Carla then told him to forgive himself and promised to help him. What do you think?
