Actor Alex Bain is all set to make an exit after 16 years of portraying Simon Barlow in Coronation Street. He has been a crucial part of Corrie since the age of seven. Recently, the soap star opened up about his departure through Instagram. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to his fans and agents.
Bain put up a story on his handle and wrote, “Make sure you’re keeping tuned in every week to see what develops,” with a clip from the February 11 2024 episode. In the latest episodes of Coronation Street, we saw that Simon was somewhat tipsy when he drove Sam Blakeman to his chess competition. He eventually crashed the car, putting his own and Sam’s life at risk.
Initially, Leanne Battersby covered up for him. However, it turned dangerous when Sam lost consciousness at school. Fortunately, it was nothing big to worry about. But it was enough to get Simon to confess at the station. As a result, Nick Tilsley ordered Simon to leave the flat.
