During the bond hearing, LaCount and Maria Reber were asked whether they were provided with the incentives to let Josh Duggar stay. The couple claimed that they weren’t too close with Josh. However, the couple also refused to get any incentive from the Duggar family for helping Josh. Instead, the couple said that they did the favor out of courtesy. However, it seems that LaCount and Maria did have other reasons to help Josh.
Previously, fans saw how Rebers talked about their concern towards their daughter before letting Josh stay in their house. LaCount and Maria have a 22-year-old daughter, Hannah Reber. And, as per Without A Crystal Ball‘s report, the 22-year-old Reber is dating Anna Duggar’s youngest brother, David Keller. Anna Duggar’s youngest brother David Keller recently posted a photo of Hannah Reber on his Instagram. He captioned the post as “Hey everyone, I’d like you to meet Hannah Reber! I have really enjoyed getting to know her. God gives good gifts.” Jim Bob must have known that Reber’s daughter and Josh’s wife’s brother could be a potential relationship.
So, Jim Bob used the opportunity properly. Did Jim Bob trade the relationship to get help, or did it happen organically? Nobody knows what exactly happened. However, Jim Bob does have the potential to control relationship dynamics, as fans have already seen that in the past.
It was not only David who posted about Hannah. LaCount’s daughter also posted David’s video on her Instagram. She quoted, “Dead David, God gives good gifts. I’ve enjoyed knowing you. I can’t wait to start this adventure with you.” What adventure is she talking about? Well, there are enough hints to suggest that David and Hannah are dating.
So, indeed, Josh staying in Reber’s house might not have come up all of a sudden or just as an act of generosity. Rebers never described the relationship between their daughter and Duggars.
