Counting On

It looks like another little bundle of joy is soon going to join the Duggar clan. Counting On fame Katelyn and Jedidiah Duggar recently revealed that she is pregnant and they will soon welcome their first child in the spring of 2020.

While the fans are thrilled at the joy the couple is about to experience, they did not appreciate the way they broke the happy news. What exactly did the couple do to annoy fans? Let us take a look at this in detail.

Counting On: Katelyn And Jedidiah Eager With Pregnancy Announcement

Usually, most reality TV couples announce a pregnancy until after the first trimester. However, Jedidiah and Katelyn didn’t even wait for 12 weeks into their pregnancy. Just after the test showed positive, the couple revealed their exciting news. It also looks like the couple is unsure of their due date, which is why they have used spring 2022 in the pregnancy announcement.

Coming to how the couple made the announcement, they attended a baseball game with their church. At that point, both families were present and they all congratulated the couple as they made the big revelation. This is their first child together and the entire family is happy to welcome the new addition.

The couple even kept their courtship a secret until after their official wedding wows. Even though the family dropped hints, they never publicized their courtship. But it looks like fans are not happy with the way the couple decided to let them know about their baby.

Counting On: Fans Criticize The Couple For Inappropriate Pregnancy Humor

‘She tested positive but not for Covid.’ That’s exactly what the pregnancy announcement sign said. While the couple made an attempt to mix some humor in their important announcement, fans didn’t receive it well. They thought the humor was disgusting, tacky, and tasteless. As reported by Tvshowsace, one even accused them of acting like teenagers since she did the pregnancy test in a Walmart bathroom stall.

Another expressed an opinion regarding the Covid-19 announcement mix-up insensitive considering how many people have lost their lives. All in all, according to most fans, the humor was quite tone-deaf. Others were appalled at the fact that she made the announcement so soon!
