The defendant’s (Josh Duggar) release is subject to various conditions. Josh Duggar must follow certain rules and regulations so as to be out on bail. The bond papers depicting the conditions are signed by Lacount Reber and Maria Reber, Jim Duggars close friends with whom Josh is residing. And Without a Crystal Ball revealed the order papers of the court. It starts with saying that the defendant has to submit the supervision papers and reports to the US Probation Officer. Well, there is no restriction on Josh’s employment. He can actively seek employment anywhere he wants.
Josh has to surrender any passport that he has access to the US Probation. Moreover, the former star can not obtain any international document. In fact, his travel is restricted to the district of Arkansas and the Fayetteville Division, where he resides. He can travel to other places only if given permission by US Probation Officer.
The father of six also can not keep any firearm or destructive device with himself. He is not even allowed to drink excessive alcohol. Although, the alcohol part might not seem too hard for Josh as he is not an addict. Furthermore, the defendant can not purchase or use drugs, marijuana, or any such controlled substance without a medical prescription.
Counting On: Josh Gets Home Detention With Some Relaxations
For the crimes Josh Duggar commit, he could have got Curfew or Home Incarceration. Instead, he got home detention. Well, there are a few relaxations in this part. Josh can go out for employment, education, religious services, medical, mental health treatment, attorney visits, court appearance, or any such activities approved by the supervising officers. However, Josh will be monitored by the officers wherever he goes.
Moreover, Josh will have to pay the cost of the program as much as he can. While the entire period of the bond, he should not be caught with any material which brought him to jail. Meanwhile, Josh Duggar will not get Internet access. He will also not visit minors other than his own children.
Josh Duggar’s release is subject to many conditions. Some other orders state that the defendant must not violate federal, state, or local law. Moreover, Josh will have to co-operate with the officers whenever asked for the DNA. Josh will also have to inform the court whenever he changes the residence or telephone number. The fourth order states, “The defendant must appear in court as required and, if convicted, must surrender as directed to serve a sentence that the court may impose.” The last one states that Josh will have to sign the Appearance Bond.
Violating Any Mentioned Orders Will Bring More Chaos To Josh Duggar’s Life
Violation of any of the above-mentioned orders is not an option for Josh Duggar. Penalties and Sanctions are issued of what will happen when the former reality star violates the orders. If Josh fails to follow any of the orders, he will once again land in jail. If Josh commits any federal felony, his punishment will only increase, and he might get an additional prison term of not more than ten years.
What happens when Josh fails to surrender to serve the required sentence? The offense is punishable up to death with not more than a $250,000 fine. If Josh’s offense is punishable by imprisonment, he might go to jail for more than five years and less than fifteen years. For any other felony, he will have to pay a fine of $250,000 and might go to jail for more than one year. Moreover, for a misdemeanor, he will either have to pay a fine of $100,000 or jail of not more than one year. Well, these seem to be some big penalties.
