Coronation Street has introduced a new character, Caitlin, a social worker. However, she has appeared in a few scenes for now. Soap fans already recognised her that it’s the Emmerdale former Gillian Jephcott. Gillian portrayed the character of Faith Dingle from the years 2000 until 2004. Although Faith made a comeback in 2017, Sally Dexter was recast for the role. Now, Gillian has made her ITV comeback through Coronation Street.
Gilliam made her debut in the show last week when Joseph was in hospital. She ruined the Christmas of Winter Browns by making a surprising allegation about Gemma. She demanded to ask Gemma whether she poisoned Joseph on purpose. Gemma was horrified, but Caitlin explained things to her at Paul and Bill’s flat. She said that despite Gemma’s potential as a good mom, she needed to follow a procedure. As a part of the investigation, she told Gemma not to live at home or meet her children.
In the coming episodes of Coronation Street, Gemma strictly follows for a few days, but Bernie’s prison sentencing makes her overwhelmed.
