Bryan Carr weighed 597 pounds at his bariatric surgeon’s check-in. The Dangerously Obese star suffered from morbid obesity and had bad food habits. Moreover, he got lymphedema in his left leg, which made his movements slower. His obesity was making it hard for him to even walk to his car. He even had to use a wheelchair to get across the airport.
Walking a few steps made him tired very quickly. Moreover, he was so big that he had to book two seats on the flight. He planned to raise the armrests and rest his leg on two seats to make his journey comfortable. His obesity also made him miss out on spending time with his daughter and friends, which became a motivator to lose weight. His leg condition, bad eating habits, and years of being socially left out made him gain weight.
Bryan Carr of Dangerously Obese had shared that he used to be a natural athlete. He played taekwondo, soccer, and basketball, and also played football semi-professionally. However, after developing lymphedema in October, he was forced to quit sports. That reduced his activity, and his weight increased. After that, he focused on his studies and started his career.

In 2015, Bryan started his YouTube channel, Life vs. Lymphedema, where he shared his journey with lymphedema, cellulitis, and obesity. He shared his experience living with the condition. Furthermore, Bryan also built a career in healthcare. He worked as a Patient Access Specialist at Inova Health. After that, he was a Patient Coordinator at Ivy Rehab Network. He is also a Programming Director at TRU Radio Network.
Bryan is active on social media, especially Facebook. He often posts updates about his weight loss and daily life. He posted about major life milestones, including buying a new car earlier this year. His recent photos show he is maintaining the weight loss and living a healthy, happy life. Fans are happy to see him take control of his life and do so well.
Bryan says his daughters, Sofia and Florenzia, are his biggest cheerleaders. Wishing to spend time with his daughters was the primary motivator for his weight loss.
