The legend, who has not just won, Emmy but also a Tony and Grammy, will come to DOOL for his first-ever soap opera gig. He credits his new acting job to Drake Hogestyn, who we all know and love as John Black.
Recently, Sir Dick Van Dyke revealed that he and Drake go to the same gym. One day, he jokingly told asked him why didn’t they have any parts for old people. He even asked him to get him apart. Surprisingly, Drake took it very seriously and actually got him apart. Talking about his part, Van Dyke will be playing the role of an amnesiac man. John and Marlena’s tag team will help him.
We would imagine that being the big legend that he is, Van wouldn’t be scared about this part, but in reality, he is preparing for his part. The veteran revealed that he had played roles of old men before, but all of them were comedy old men. This is his first time playing it straight, and he is quite excited.
