Days of Our Lives recap for August 1, 2022, saw Gwen mourning Jake DiMera’s death. Leo consoled her and reminded her of Xander Cook. Meanwhile, Chad saw them and decided to drop by Sarah’s suite. Sarah was the new suspect in Abigail’s murder, and Chad wanted to know if she had killed her. She was truthful with him and told him about the hallucinations.
Meanwhile, Orpheus showed up at Marlena’s office and asked her to be Evan’s psychiatrist. She rejected his demand and told him she could recommend another doctor. Sarah came into the room, pissed at Orpheus for killing her child. Later, she asked Marlena to hypnotize her and get the truth out of her. Lastly, Chad tried to help Thomas as he grieved his mother’s loss.
Gwen Mourns Jake’s Death
In this Days of Our Lives episode, Leo found Gwen at the town square, looking very glum after Jake DiMera’s death. Despite the drama that happened later, Gwen had good memories of him. Leo consoled her and reminded her to concentrate on winning Xander Cook over. Gwen felt positive about being with him now that Sarah was caught up in the investigation.
Speaking of Sarah, Chad dropped by her suite and interrogated her as she was the new suspect in Abigail’s murder. Sarah obliged him and told him about her violent hallucinations; despite not being at the mansion, she might have killed Abigail, assuming she was Kristen DiMera. Later, Sarah left a note for Xander and worked out a strategy.
Days Of Our Lives Recap: Orpheus Wants Marlena’s Help
Meanwhile, in Marlena’s office, the doctor was shocked to find Orpheus sitting at her desk. He was here to ask her to be Evan’s psychiatrist. She was tired of his mind games and told him she would recommend another doctor to them. Sarah burst into the room, angry at Orpheus, her baby killer. He took a jab against her and reminded her of Abigail’s death. After Orpheus left, Sarah told Marlena to hypnotize her. It does not matter if she indeed killed Abigail – she needed to know the truth now more than ever.
Chad Is Inconsolable
In another part of town, Chad saw Gwen and Leo talking. He rejected Gwen’s efforts to console him. Later in the Days of Our Lives episode, Chad found Thomas and learned that he had missed his trip to the aquarium with his grandparents. He didn’t go because it was Abigail who had wanted to take him there.
Chad wanted Thomas to step out and spend some time outdoors. Thomas was angry because everyone was treating him differently after Abigail’s death. Chad could not take his dejection and snapped because he could not do anything to bring her back. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
