DDWTD personality Deon Derrico’s beloved nephew, Amani Barkley, recently passed away. He has informed fans about the tragic news in his latest Instagram post. He described his passing and mentioned, “Amani, as many of you know, was the son of my late brother Christopher S. Turner, and Stacey Dickey.”
On 24th January 2025, Deon again took to his Instagram story to update fans. He sent his sister, Stacey, prayers through his post, stating, “My only nephew was born on 1/24/1998.” He asked fans to pray with him for his nephew since his sister, who just lost her child, is very much in pain.
Deon added that it’s the first time his sister has to spend Amani’s birthday without him. “This is Amani’s first birthday living [in] Heaven 💔💔.” he continued. Along with this devastating update, he posted two pictures of his nephew. One was from his adult days, and the other was from when he was a child.
For background music, Deon has added an emotional song called “Missing You,” sung by Brandy, Tamia, Gladys, and Chaka. The lyrics describe what the family must be going through.
