EastEnders’ Jake Wood, who is known for playing the iconic role of Max Branning, recently took to Instagram and shared a picture with his son. The actor posted an insight into family life this week with a picture of his 16-year-old son.
He wrote, ‘proud dad’ as the teen played in a charity football match for Sellebrity Soccer. The actor had 177k followers, and many of his users were surprised at the resemblance between the father and son.
One of the users wrote, ‘Your son is taller than you now.’ another one wrote, ‘Outstanding. Great parenting and encouragement. You heard it here first.’ He shared a video of Buster playing football along with snaps of the duo posing together. Jake shares Buster and 19-year-old daughter, Amber, with wife Alison Murray. The duo got married in 2001 and renewed their vows in 2018.
Jake’s Stint On The Show
Jake played Max Branning for 15 years and was last seen in Walford in February 2021. According to reports, Jake has dropped various hints about his return to the show in the last three years.
He posted a picture with Scott Maslen, who played his brother, Jack Branning. So, this made all the fans think that he might return to the show, as the photo appeared to be of EastEnders backstage. One of them commented, ‘He gotta be coming back.’
As of now, Jake is currently appearing in the theatre show London Tide after calling time on his 15-year stint on EastEnders. Furthermore, fans were also convinced that Max would come back when his daughter found out that he has another secret daughter. For a long time, viewers might remember that Max and Linda have a baby girl named Annie.
