EastEnders: CONFIRMED, Gurlaine Kaur is All Set To Depart From EastEnders This 2023

The year 2023 will bring new shakeups for the characters of EastEnders in the upcoming year. As per the latest comings and goings reports, actress Gurlaine Kaur will be out of the soap opera by the end of this year as her role as Dr. Ash Kaur is coming to an end. The character will be written out, and she will make an exit from our screens later this year. Long-time EastEnders spoilers would recall Ash is one of the first members of the Panesar family.

She joined the soap opera in 2019 and was involved with Iqra Ahmed back in the time. While she has been around for some time, she has kept coming back and exiting from the soap on an on-off basis. She was missing from the soap opera in 2022 for about six months. However, thankfully, she returned soon after that. But this time, when the character exits, it doesn’t look like she will return. Speaking about this whole stint, an EastEnders Spokesperson said that Gurlaine would leave, and they wish her the best for the future.

In a more recent storyline, Ash was last seen dealing with the departure of her brother Kheerat Panesar. Not only that, but she also had her plate full with the return of her father, Nish Panesar, from prison and the discovery that she has a half-brother Ravi Gulati. However, there are still some secrets hidden from Ash at the moment.

She is yet to discover that her mother is having a same-sex affair with their family’s unofficial lawyer Eve Unwin. Given their history, this revelation will surely make a big impact on the whole storyline between this mother-daughter. Could this be the reason why Ash leaves town? We will have to wait to see. EastEnders airs on BBC One Monday through Thursday at 7:30 PM. Make sure you tune in and enjoy.
