Former EastEnders actor Tony Discipline, who played Tyler Moon on the BBC One soap, has landed a role in another show. The EastEnders icon appeared in Walford between 2011 and 2013. A little birdie tells us that the actor will soon appear in a guest role in a fellow BBC soap, Doctors. Keep reading to get all the details.
EastEnders Star Tony To Appear On Doctors
Tony Discipline exited EastEnders 11 years ago, and he will be making an appearance on Doctors. The actor took to his Twitter and shared the update, “Catch me on Doctors on @bbcone next Tuesday @ 14:00.”
Tony will be playing the guest role of David Marsden on the show next Tuesday, i.e., 4th June. Furthermore, Doctors spoilers reveal that Tony’s character will share the screen with Kirsty Miller. David Marsden will be looking for his wife, Luella, and the spoilers suggest that the couple is going through a marital crisis when they turn up at The Mill.
As for Tony’s stint on EastEnders of two years, he was involved in a love triangle with Shona McGarty’s character, Whitney. Ten years later, fans were shocked to see that Discipline was juggling two jobs. Before he got the acting gig in EastEnders, Tony was a porter in a fish market. Moreover, after leaving the BBC One soap, he became a firefighter and a barman.
While speaking about his time on the show, he said, “I loved my time there. It was a great chapter in my life, and if the opportunity ever came up, I would definitely be interested,” he told The Sun. He also dropped hints about Tyler returning to the show and said that Tyler’s still alive, so it could happen.
It would be really exciting to see him return to the show. As of now, he’s returning to screens in BBC drama, Doctors. Regular viewers of the drama series know that Doctors had been cancelled after nearly two and half decades on air. The show’s final episode will be aired this December and it is due to financing issues. For more such EastEnders updates & news, stay tuned into TV Season & Spoilers.
