EastEnders has already established that Ben is struggling with a severe case of Bulimia. In the upcoming episodes, his eating disorder will continue to spiral out of control as he loses grip on his life. Despite the fact that his loved ones are trying to rally around his in support, Ben is having a hard time dealing with his self-worth. The Walford resident has really gone through a lot in the recent years and is now on the brink of his breaking-point. In light of the same, he will end up massively lashing out at his home team. After going through several tragedies in a short span, Ben has hit the lowest low on EastEnders. Moreover, the personal tragedies led to Ben developing a severe case of Bulimia, as he chose suffering in silence as his coping mechanism. Recently, Honey noticed Ben acting rather strange around food. She instantly picked up on his odd behaviour. Perhaps due to the fact that she herself had dealt with an eating disorder previously. She immediately sprung into action and tried to get through to Ben by opening up about her own struggles. Moreover, she even pushed Ben to open up to Callum about his problems.
However, in the August 8, 2023, episode of EastEnders, when Callum tried to offer his help to Ben, he turned it down. Ben is really struggling with the feeling that he isn’t worthy. And that’s becoming a major hurdle in being able to open up to anyone, including his husband, Callum. Moreover, later in the episode, Ben spotted Honey talking to Callum. He assumed that Honey has divulged his secret and harshly lashed out at her. Later, when his father Phil reprimanded him for misbehaving with Honey, Ben got triggered.
He rushed off to get fish and chips and binged on them, only to have an episode of purge later at home. However, when Ben got out of the bathroom, Callum yet again tried to offer help . But Ben shot it down on EastEnders. Even when his husband tried to remind him of his wedding vow of “I see you,” Ben could not muster up the strength to confess. But how long can Ben really go in like this? His condition is deteriorating rapidly. Do you think Ben will eventually be able to ask for the help he so desperately needs?
