Kathy Beale Cotton’s life turned upside down recently on EastEnders in the light of a startling expose. Viewers know that after hitting rock bottom with his finances, Rocky accepted a loan from Nish. Which ultimately set the wheels in motion for ultimate disaster. Unable to pay back the loan and feeling constant pressure, Rocky resorted to despicable means.
He set Kathy’s beloved cafe ablaze on EastEnders. Hoping to take out the insurance claim and pay Nish off. Unfortunately, things went royally off-tracks, as they often do with Rocky Cotton. While he did set fire to an empty cafe, Bobby saw the flames and broke in to douse them. Unfortunately he got trapped in and Peter and Rocky had to go in to save him. However, they got trapped in the fumes. In the aftermath, Peter and Bobby both struggled to stay alive but eventually pulled through.
Can Kathy Ever Forgive Rocky on EastEnders
Rocky took a new hit when Nish revealed to Kathy that it was actually her husband who set fire to the cafe and endangered her grandchildren’s lives. Not just that, she even almost went to jail for it on EastEnders. And has now lost the establishment to Nish. The weight of it all together has finally broken the camel’s back. Not being able to find the strength to forgive Rocky, Kathy has called it quits.
Moreover, EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth (Kathy) reveals that Kathy is done with Rocky for good. She loves her, she still loves her a lot but she hates what he has done. The fact that he was going to let her take the fall and almost killed her grandchildren is too much for her to take. So she can’t forgive Rocky this time, despite her love for him. They are done, their marriage is over.
We know that Brian Conley has already finished shooting his final scenes on EastEnders. Which means there is a huge chance that his breakup with Kathy might be what eventually leads to his exit. While Gillian did not explicitly say if that its true or not, but she did tease something huge. “things will happen with Rocky and it’s going to be very upsetting, the soap star divulged. So, it seems that some more drama will unfold in Rocky and Kathy’s life before he finally leaves Walford.
Speaking about her time on EastEnders with Brian, Gillian asserted that “He’s lovely. He was actually lovely, so lovely to work with.” Honestly, it would make us very sad to watch his exit.
