Maddy Smedley is coming back to win our hearts again. After making us all her fans by coming on BBC One’s show- The Traitors, Smedley is all set to join the cast of EastEnders, and we are very excited. While we are saying that this is her joining the cast, the truth really is that she is just returning.
Long-time viewers would recall that Maddy did make an appearance on the soap back in 2021. A storyline of Bailey Baker running away from home had rolled out back then. She had made a brief appearance on EastEnders then and had that made her the talk of the town. Now, she is returning again, and it is going to shake everything up.
Back in May 2021, the actress played the character of Rita, who was a homeless woman. After she had completed her stint on the soap, she posted about it on social media with her credit. Before that, she hadn’t told anyone about it because she felt that it wasn’t something that she could do, tell everyone. However, she was over the moon to have gotten that chance, at least. Not only EastEnders, but she has also played ‘Someone without a womb’ in Casualty. So, she clearly knows her way around the soaps and acting.
Now, there is speculation that he might be on his way back to EastEnders. Speaking to The Sun, the actress said that she would love to be on EastEnders again. Speaking more about it, the actress said that it was the best thing that had ever happened to her. She grew up watching that soap. So, she would come back any chance she got.
