Ex-EastEnders star Max Bowden broke the silence about his departure from the London-based soap. He confessed to making mistakes that led to him being axed. Back in December, The Sun reported about Max’s exit following a showdown with the big bosses. Meanwhile, viewers have witnessed the actor’s final scenes as Ben Mitchell. EastEnders: Max Bowden Drops Words of Wisdom
The former EastEnders star shared some words of wisdom about messing up and giving it another shot. His post read that nobody’s figured it out, be it degree holders, people with big jobs, or even our role models. It added, “Everyone is just trying loudly, failing loudly, and trying again. And so should you.” Well, Max’s love life once looked like a storyline straight out of the BBC One soap.
He started dating his EastEnders co-star and soap legend Shona McGarty in May 2022. However, Max’s insurance executive partner, Roisin Buckle, was pregnant, thinking they were just on a break. Consequently, Roisin felt pretty “humiliated and disrespected” by the whole thing. Furthermore, the love between Max and Shona only lasted for six months. Soon, The Sun broke the news about Shona’s departure from EE after 15 years. Despite the breakup, the former lovebirds stayed good friends.
Then came the news of Max’s contact not being renewed by the EastEnders showrunners. Anyway, Max got all emotional on Instagram, saying goodbye to the soap after his final scenes aired. He concluded his long emotional message with, “Ben Mitchell 6.0 over and out. Goodbye, EE! I’ll miss you all.” However, it’s not the end of the road for our beloved actor. Bowden is all set to act in the stage production of Birdsong, based on Sebastian Faulks’s book.
The former EastEnders star will play Jack Firebrace and will dive into a tale of love and loss during World War I.
