Former EastEnders actress Rakhee Thakrar has recently spilled the beans on a possible return to the BBC One soap. Thakrar wrapped up her role as Shabnam Masood on the soap in 2016, leaving Walford with daughter Jade. So, how did the buzz about her coming back pop up again? EastEnders Alum Talks About Her Return

Shabnam Masood left Albert Street heartbroken with Jade seven years back after her marriage to Kush Kazemi fell apart in 2016. However, Jade Masood is back in town! We know that Jade was born to her after a one-night stand with Dean Wicks. Now, Jade needs a lung transplant due to her cystic fibrosis on EastEnders.

When Dean talked about Jade’s ill health, fans got all ears, and rumours started flying! One gambled, “With Jade being the reason Dean is back, I hope she and Shabnam appear.” Added, “I’d love it if they became regulars, but even for a short stint, it would be great.” So, is there any chance of seeing Shabnam again soon?

The Shabnam actress chatted with TV Times, where she spoke up about her return to EastEnders. Unfortunately, the BBC One star confessed to having no plans to join her on-screen daughter. “No, there’s no talk of that at the moment!” Moreover, Rakhee expressed delight that people were still talking about her and wanted Shabnam back

You might find it funny that the 39-year-old actress didn’t even know about Jade’s return to EastEnders. “It’s weird because it was actually someone in a restaurant who told me that Jade was back.” Thakrar was like, “What, my daughter’s back?!” Additionally, the actress was proud, “Even without Shabnam, this legacy of what happened with her character is continuing!”
