The next year Emmerdale has a lot in its store. Recently show producer Laura Shaw has made a cryptic comment, teasing at a heartbreaking tragedy in January 2024. She stated, “There’s also going to be a tragedy in the village in January that’s going to affect two of our most loved families.” She added, “It’s ultimately going to tear friendships apart and change the dynamics of one of those families forever.”
Earlier, Erich made a sad confession to Mandy Dingle about his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis. He accpeted that he was terrified and concerned about his loved ones. However, Parkinson’s is not a life-threatening disease, but it could affect a person’s health severely. But who knows? Maybe for Eric, it turns out in the worst way possible.
Emmerdale fans have come up with multiple theories, and most of them are certain that Pollard is going to die. They took to Twitter (X) and pleaded to spare his life. One of the fans wrote, “If Eric dies at Christmas, then so do I.” Another added, “Don’t you dare kill off Eric at Christmas.” A third one penned, “This Eric storyline is going to be heartbreaking.” A fourth fan expressed, “Eric is breaking my heart, it must be so emotionally overwhelming for people who get a Parkinson’s diagnosis. Difficult, scary, and probably lonely in a way. Hopefully, this story will play out well, it’s been well portrayed so far.”
