Emmerdale Former Kelvin Fletcher Reveals Acting Plan After A Long-Hiatus
Kelvin Fletcher recently talked about his long-term acting plans. Emmerdale fans know Kelvin as Andy Sudgen. The soap star was a part of the Dales family for long 20 years (1996-2016) until he decided to go on an acting break. Currently, Kelvin lives with his wife, Elizabeth Marsland, and children in England’s Peak District. Additionally, Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure (BBC) and Fletcher’s Family Farm (ITV) put the actor and his family in the limelight.
After leaving Emmerdale, the actor competed in Strictly Come Dancing season 2019 partner Oti Mabuse. He even ended up winning it. Also, the soap actor was most recently seen in Father Brown. However, when asked about his career plan, Kelvin, in a conversation with The Times, said, “People ask if I’ve stopped acting. No, that’s still my job, but moving here has given me a sense of purpose that had been missing.”
The actor shared that it was moving to be in the front row at the Olivier Awards after being in Jack Absolute Flies Again at the National Theatre in London. He labeled the moment as “the culmination of all the acting dreams he has had as a kid.” In contrast, the next day, he was shoveling shit while watching pretty skies. Emmerdale former expressed that he knew right there that he’d found his ‘home.’
Fletcher also highlighted how has always lived a grounded life, defying the glamour of the soap world. He accepted that being on popular shows like Emmerdale certainly exposes you more to the world. However, he chose to never change for his wife and family. The soap star mentioned, “For Liz, I was just the same Kelvin she’d always known.
