Emmerdale Stars Become ‘Inspiration’ For Their Co-Stars
Mark Jordon and Laura Norton, the stars from Emmerdale, known for playing Daz Spencer and Kerry Wyatt, made everyone cry tears of joy. Why? Because their co-stars called them ‘inspirations!’ This came after the couple fought against Usher syndrome, which their kids were suffering from.
Mark and Laura have two kids, Jesse and Ronnie. Both have something called Usher syndrome, which is super rare and can’t be cured. It usually affects their eyes, ears, and sometimes balance. Amidst their struggle, a charity named CUREUsher came to the Emmerdale couple.
Their aim was to spread the word about Usher syndrome and help fund research to find a cure. They asked Mark and Laura to be Patrons. Recently, in the finale of Drama Queens, Emmerdale star Amy Walsh, aka Tracy Metcalfe, gave a big shoutout to the couple. She congratulated them for their amazing work.
The actress added, “You’re an inspiration to everyone around this table. But the most important people who you’re an inspiration to is your two babies.” She continued to say that they’re proud of them and will support them no matter what. Additionally, Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi applauded the pair for being strong enough to publicise their struggles.
Back in February, Laura and Mark shared their story. Laura said they realized something was up in 2021 when Jesse didn’t pass his hearing tests. She stated, “My intuition told me there was a serious problem, and I was in tears at the thought of it.” However, they didn’t find out the truth until Laura was pregnant with their second kid.
Later, Laura and Mark teamed up for a project called ‘Cure Usher Charity Ball’ to spread the word and raise money for research. We really appreciate their genuine efforts and strength. It definitely helped and inspired many. For more such Emmerdale updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers!
