Here is some really thrilling news update for EastEnders fans! The BBC One soap is about to dish out an extra serving of excitement from the sets for their avid viewers! The latest spoilers reveal that the much loved former member of the soap’s cast, TV Presenter and actor Joe Swish is about to return to Walford. However, not in the capacity of a character, but a host! The much celebrated star will be presenting from the sets of the soap.
The Sun is reporting that Joe has been roped in to do a special program for EastEnders ahead of Christmas. He will present special behind-the-scenes footage from the sets of the soap. Joe will revisit some old stories and bring exclusive insider scoops for the fans. Including, interviews of all the current cast members of the show. Although, EastEnders has done similar spin-off shows before, an insider reveals that this time the format is entirely fresh and different from the predecessors.
Exciting Times Ahead On EastEnders!
The source also revealed that the special show will air on BBC3 later in 2023. However, the show is yet to be titled. Additionally, the word on the block is that Joe Swash will sit down for interviews with some of the original EastEnders cast members. Some of the names making rounds include the legendary Gillian Taylforth (Kathy Cotton) and Letitia Dean (Sharon Watts). Fans can expect the stars to spill some insider scoop and also share some of their most loved and memorable moments from the show.
Apart from that, Joe may also divulge some details surrounding the current storylines on the soap. Considering that the special show will roll out right before Christmas, we can hope for some special reports about the much hyped Christmas mystery murder! But we will have to wait for more details to be sure. As for Joe, We are thoroughly looking forward to seeing him back in Walford. He was quite a hit as Mickey Miller during his stint on the soap between 2003 and 2008.
