With Peter August finally out of the scene, GH will bring another love interest for Maxie Jones, and this won’t be Austin Gaitlin Holt. As per the latest speculation, Nathan West might be on his way back to the soap opera. Would General Hospital move ahead with something like this? Here is everything about it.
Maxie Needs A Romantic Interest
General Hospital viewers who have been keeping up know that Maxie is single. Up until now, Peter was obsessed with her, and she was also involved in the whole baby drama. So, giving anyone else a chance was not possible. However, now all those storylines are coming to an end. So, General Hospital might focus on Maxie’s love life in the upcoming days.
Long-time viewers would remember if there is one man that Maxie truly has loved, then it is Nathan West. He was THE GUY for Maxie. The chemistry that he and Maxie shared is unmatchable, and hence the speculations about him returning have started making rounds.
Right now, General Hospital is trying to pair Maxie with Austin. While some fans do like this pairing, many fans have been pointing out how there is no chemistry there. Nathan and Maxie’s love story was something that GH viewers still miss. So, it is possible that the soap might bring back Nathan.
General Hospital: Where Is Nathan? Could He Return?
GH viewers would recall Nathan was killed all those years ago. Cesar Faison shot him. However, this is a soap, and deaths can very easily be faked. So, we cannot for sure say that Nathan is dead. It is easy to imagine that Nathan could have been held hostage and would come back now that things are falling place.
If Nathan returns, not only will it give Maxie the romantic interest she needs, it will also give Louise the father figure she needs. Nathan’s character was played by Ryan Paevey. However, the actor doesn’t seem too interested in coming back to Port Charles anytime soon. With that said, the possibility of a recast is always open.
Soap Opera Digest had anyway published a leak that suggested that a major character could be getting a recast on one of the soap operas.
