For most part of 2023 there had been a lot of chatter over who will finally play Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. It all started when actor Marcus Coloma abruptly left the role, owing to health issues. Actor Adam Huss then stepped in to take the character off the canvas. For a little while there we though Nik was gone forever. However, just a few episodes later it was revealed that Nik survived! But the big question was, which actor would rise as the Dark Prince post the coma stretch. Many fans thought it would be Marcus Coloma.
Alas! That didn’t happen! Adam Huss picked up the role right where he had left it on General Hospital. So where does that leave Marcus Coloma? Have we seen the last of him on the screen? General Hospital: Marcus Coloma’s Latest Series
Season one of the Instagram series was quite a hit with General Hospital fans, and Marcus has even promised a Season 2. However, it has hit a bit of a snag, owing to Kin’s engagement with shooting for the ABC soap. But that has just given Marcus more time to focus on a project he is very ambitious about. Speaking with Soaps.com, the seasoned actor shared that he wants to do in depth research for his project titled – Deathless. The series is based on Vampires and Witches. Yes, we know the subject has been done to, well, death. But, hey, take a look at a sneak peek on Youtube, and you will agree that there is still scope for some more vampire stories!
Especially, since this version of vampire and witches is not just gore, glam and romance. The General Hospital alum confided that he is actually studying witches and religion and science for the series. Interestingly, Deathless will also star his former GH co-star, Avery Pohl in a rather angelic role. Meanwhile, Vincent Irizarry will slip into a demonic character. Marcus asserts that his series will not be one dimensional and will include everything from mythology to religion to folklore. He feels that will make things more “interesting”.
