Recently, Soap Opera Digest published a scoop that hints that General Hospital might be bringing back our favorite character Steve Burton back. While it is a blind item and can fit any of the four soaps, there are hints that point this could all be about General Hospital. Why do we say that? Here is everything about it.
General Hospital: Could Steve Burton Be On His Way Back?
The first part of the blind item reveals that a character from the past could be coming back to a daytime drama. So, this could easily mean Jason is on his way back. The soap has been dropping Jason’s name a lot lately. In fact, recently, Monica Quartermaine decided to get Jason legally declared dead. This feels like GH is just putting up an arc through which Jason could be brought back.
The second part of the blind item reveals that an actor’s return will revive a popular “twisted” triangle. Long-time GH viewers would recall, there was once a time when Sam, Drew, and Jason’s love triangle was very popular. So, it is possible that Jason would come back, and a triangle like this would come back to life. However, this time, the center of this triangle would be Carly.
GH viewers keeping up with the soap know that Carly and Drew are coming closer. Sparks are flying around them, and it won’t be long before the two of them fall for each other. We will not put it past GH to work up a storyline where Carly and Drew fall in love and Jason returns, only wanting to be with Carly.
The last part of this blind item says that this actor has a hard time making friends on the soap. Fans know that Steve continued to refuse complying to the vaccination mandate. And that was the reason that forced General Hospital to let him go. So, that could have affected his relationships with many co-stars. That could be a hint that he is finding it hard to reconnect with everyone on the soap.
It is possible that Steve might have finally made some adjustments and reached a new deal with General Hospital.
