Recently, Sonny portrayer Maurice Benard spoke to Michael Fairman TV and revealed what could happen next.
It looks like Sonny will be back in Port Charles soon, and when he comes here, he won’t like what is happening. Maurice says that Sonny won’t be quick to forgive Carly and Jason, who are about to get married. While they are getting married to keep Sonny’s organization safe, he might not understand it and feel betrayed.
Maurice explained in the interview with Michael Fairman TV that the thing with Sonny is that this is what he does best. He cannot take betrayal. So, if Jason and Carly come together, he won’t think of it as a good act. He will just lash out. The actor says that he believes that when this happens, Sonny might go like “What the ….” and then hell will break loose in Port Charles.
Daytime Emmy Award Winner Maurice Benard Teases What’s Next
Maurice recently took home his third Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series during the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. In the interview, he further teased that Sonny’s return to his home will get really ugly. It will be a battle between his ego and those he loves the most. It will be a great fight. In fact, the actor says that he can’t wait to see the fireworks unfold.
While Maurice hints at this, we can’t help but wonder when he would step into Sonny’s shoes. The actor or the General Hospital team haven’t said anything about it, but fans have started their own speculations.
