General Hospital, hands down, is one of those soap operas that never fails to surprise the viewers. Recently, the soap opera delivered yet another shocker in the episode that aired on May 27, 2021. For almost a month now, we have all been speculating on what character Roger Howarth would play when he comes back.
There were a number of options, including Franco’s twin, his old character Todd Manning, and even a new character Vincent Novak. However, General Hospital proved us all wrong when they brought Roger as an entirely new character- Austin.
Austin is a doctor who came just in time to help Maxie and her unborn child in the delivery after Maxie escaped Peter and his henchwoman, Chloe. Is it a coincidence that this handsome hiker has the same resemblance as Elizabeth’s now dead husband, Franco Baldwin?
With that said, it does not look like Austin is Franco’s look alike or anything like that. When Roger came in, Maxie did not show any signs of recognition. So, it is possible that this might be an entirely new character. This could easily be a character who got a job at General Hospital and has no connections with Franco.
Since we do not know a lot about this character, there is a veil of mystery there. Is he a good person, or is he someone in connection with Peter who has only come to trace Maxie? There are a number of questions about this character.
