General Hospital fans know that there has been a lot of speculation about Steve Burton exiting the soap opera. And from what it looks like, Steve himself confirmed this. Burton, who plays the character of Jason Morgan on General Hospital, is being let go after the vax mandate on the soap opera. While these were just rumors until now, it looks like the actor himself has now confirmed it.

Burton recently appeared on his podcast “That’s Awesome” with Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli), and there they were talking about life. Anderson said that life was good, and he couldn’t complain. But Burton said that he could. That was obvious because things aren’t rosy for him at the moment.

Burton then said that he was a “little nervous” about the upcoming show because everything that he had prepared for was now irrelevant. He is now cutting jokes because of changes in the storyline.

Celebdirtylaundry.com even reports that Burton’s exit storyline is filmed. And now, he can’t use any of that in his show. After this, fans came out to react to this news. Until now, they were just rumors. But with Steve’s statement, it is sorta confirmed. So, fans have started reacting.

One fan says that they are done with GH if Burton leaves. Another one asked him to please stay on the soap opera. A third upset viewer says that when Burton left GH last time, they missed him too much. So, they hope that he stays this time.

Letting go of actors you love is always difficult. But, since General Hospital has already filmed the exit storyline, there isn’t a lot that can be done. However, if fans continue to support Steve Burton, there is a possibility that he might come back down the line. Steve’s exit will indeed leave a hole in General Hospital. Will you miss him?
